How does it know what my friends are to me?
In saju, the day you were born gives you an element: wood, fire, earth, metal or water. Elements feed or balance each other, so your friend's element tells what they are to you. A friend whose element feeds yours is your lucky charm; one whose element keeps yours in check is your reality check.
What do my friends see?
Your nickname, your Korean name, your saju type, and what each person is to you. Never your birth date: we don't even store it, only the saju characters calculated from it.
Can I really use the Korean name?
Yes. Every name is one Koreans actually use. Plenty of learners use a Korean name in class, at a language exchange, or with Korean friends. You can pick a different one from your map anytime.
What is saju?
Saju (사주, “four pillars”) is how Koreans have read personality and relationships from the year, month, day and hour of birth for centuries. Most people treat it like a horoscope: a fun way to think about yourself and the people around you.

That's fine. The map only needs your birthday. Birth time adds detail to your own chart if you know it.
